Traditional leadlighting is getting harder to come by, so being able to use a home’s existing leadlights in double glazing provides a great solution when retaining the character of your home is a must.  Due to the fragility and age of leadlights, these specialty windows demand extra care and expertise to ensure their preservation within the new double glazing.

Being built in the 1930’s, this beautiful home felt cold and draughty inside. The original single glazing did little to stop heat leaving and cold entering the home. This single glazing let a high majority of heat, light and UV in, causing furnishings to fade. Not only that, but external noises disturbed the peace indoors.

Being able to retain the beautiful timber character and the traditional leadlights whilst improving thermal insulation and comfort within the home, led Rebekah to Wellington Glass and Mirror, in partnership with RetroGlaze.
